SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Assistant is introductory qualification which covers a limited range of basic technical and fundamental soft skills.

Not only will this qualification put you in good stead to commence your hairdressing or barbering apprenticeship, but you will have completed 6 units of competence that will be credited to you when commencing your Cert III training at Taylorweir.

The curriculum is based on practical skills, personal development and creating opportunities for a positive employment outcome. Students are mentored in personal grooming and presentation, attitude awareness and interview strategies. To ensure the practical component of your training is meaningful and realistic and to aid in positive job seeking outcomes, a work placement component is attached to this course. Taylorweir will hand-select a salon from our pool of Host salons to suit the style of salon that you would like to work in.
